He has worked as a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, City University of Hong Kong and Kwangwoon University (South Korea) for about 10 years before he joined Hohai University as a full professor. Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano- /microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 115; Google Scholar) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995; USA) and in biomedical engineering from RPI (Ph.D., 2000; USA). Hyoungsoo Kim is currently an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KAIST. He serves as an Editorial Advisory Board member of Experiments in Fluids. He has a speciality in direct optical measurement techniques, for instance 2D/3D Particle Image Velocimetry, interferometric analysis, Schlieren method, and high-speed and fluorescent imaging. Vasudevanpillai Biju is a Professor at the Research Institute for Electronic Science and Graduate School of Environmental Science at Hokkaido University. Professor Yung-Kang Shen received his Ph.D. degree from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1995.
