Thomas J. Webster’s (H index: 92) degrees are in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (B.S., 1995) and in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (M.S., 1997; Ph.D., 2000). Prof. Websterhas graduated/supervised over 189 graduate students andhis lab group has generated over 700 peer reviewed articles, 13 textbooks, 68 book chapters, 276 invited presentations, 867 conference presentations, and 42 provisional or full patents. He has formed 12 companies who collectively have over 21 FDA approved medical products currently helping the lives of thousands. He is the founding editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Nanomedicine (pioneering the open-access format) and an associated editor of Nanomedicine: NBM. Prof. Webster is a fellow of over 8 societies. He has routinely appeared on BBC, NBC, ABC, Fox News, the Weather Channel, the Discovery Channel, and the recent special ‘Year Million’ TV series on National Geographic talking about the future of medicine and science.

Aliasgar is currently working as an Professor & Graduate Program Director in Dubai Pharmacy College. Before joining Dubai Pharmacy College, he was associated with the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research-Ahmedabad, India. Dr. Shahiwala has earned Masters and Doctorate degrees in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India, and has completed 1-year of post-doctoral research experience at Northeastern University, USA. He has more than 3 years of rich research experience in the formulation and development division of large-scale manufacturers of pharmaceuticals in India and more than 7 years of teaching experience at both the graduate and post-graduate level. His research credentials have established him a reviewer, a member of editorial board, a speaker, and an invited author for various pharmaceutical scientific journals and conferences. Dr. Shahiwala's key strength is diversity of work experience in different settings.

Roy Eagleson is a Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Western Ontario, an Associate Scientist at the Robarts Research Institute, and a Scientist and Principal Investigator at CSTAR (The Canadian Surgical Technologies and Advanced Robotics research centre; part of the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), LHRI. He is the co-leader within the National Centres of Excellence on Graphics and New Media (GRAND-NCE) project on Simulation and New Media for Healthcare Training (HLTHSIM). As part of the Ontario Research Fund award for Surgical Simulation, Eagleson is co-leader of the Theme on Evaluation of Surgical Simulators. Research Interests: 3D Biomedical Visualization and Surgical Simulation. Human-Computer Interface Design for Surgical Skills Training. Haptic Interfaces and Interactive Immersive Graphical Interfaces (Volumetric Visualization with GPU programming). Research support: NSERC Discovery Grant, CFI, ORF, MITACS, and NCE-GRAND.

Dr. Suhir is Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (ret), Bell Laboratories, Basic Research, Physical Sciences and Engineering Research Division, Murray Hill, NJ. He is currently on the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Dept. University of California, Santa Cruz, CA. He is also Visiting Professor, Mechanical Engineering Dept., University of Maryland, College Park, MD; and Guest Professor, Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi’an, China. He is Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Physical Society (APS), the Institute of Physics(IoP), UK, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers(ASME), and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). Dr.Suhir has been recently elected as Foreign Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Engineering and Technological Sciences, Ukraine; as Fulbright Scholar, Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), StateDepartment, US; and as Editor, Silicon Valley Engineering Council (SVEC) Journal. He is Member of the Board of Governors and Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE CPMT (Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology) Society, Associate Editor of the IEEE CPMT Transactions on Advanced Packaging, Member of the ECTC (Electronic Components and Technology Conference) Applied Reliability Subcommittee, the IEEE CPMT award committee, the IEEEFellow nomination committee, and the ASME General Awards committee. Dr. Suhir is a co-founder of the ASME Journal of Electronic Packaging and served as its Technical Editor for eight years (1993-2001). He has authored about 300 technical publications (patents, papers, book chapters, books), including books “Structural Analysis in Microelectronics and Fiber Optics”, Van-Nostrand, 1991, and “Applied Probability for Engineers and Scientists”, McGraw-Hill, 1997. Dr. Suhir is editor of the Springer book series on physics, mechanics and packaging of microelectronic and photonic systems. He organized many successful conferences and symposia and presented numerous keynote and invited talks worldwide. Dr. Suhir received many professional awards, including: 2004 ASME Worcester Read Warner Medal for outstanding contributions to the permanent literature of engineering through a series of papers in Mechanical, Microelectronic, and Optoelectronic Engineering, which established a new discipline known as the Structural Analysis of Microelectronic and Photonic Systems (he is the third Russian American, after Steven Timoshenko and Igor Sikorsky, who received this prestigious award); 2001 IMAPS John A. Wagnon Technical Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to the technical knowledge of the microelectronics, optoelectronics, and packaging industry; 2000 IEEE-CPMT Outstanding Sustained Technical Contribution Award for outstanding, sustained and continuing contributions to the technologies infields encompassed by the CPMT Society; 2000 SPE International Engineering/Technology (Fred O. Conley) Award for outstanding pioneering and continuing contributions to plastics engineering; 1999 ASME and Pi-Tau-Sigma Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to mechanical engineering, and 1996 Bell Laboratories Distinguished Member of Technical Staff Award for developing extremely accurate and robust engineering mechanics methods for predicting the reliability, performance, and mechanical behavior of complex structures used in manufacturing Lucent Technologies products.

Prof. Dr. Anil Batta is presently professor & Head with senior consultant in Govt. Medical College, Amritsar. He did his M.B.B.S. and M.D. in Medical Biochemistry from Govt. Medical College, Patiala in 1984 and 1991, respectively. His research interest is mainly in clinical application especially cancer and drug de-addiction. He has supervised more than 25 M.D., M.Sc. and Doctorate researches and published more than 130 international research papers. He is the chief editor of America’s Journal of Biochemistry. He is also working as advisor to the editorial board of International Journal of Biological and Medical Research. He has been deputed member Editorial Board of numerous International & National Medical Journals of Biochemistry. He has also been attached as technical advisor to various national and international conferences in Biochemistry. He has been attached as hi-tech endocrinal, genetics and automated labs of Baba Farid Univ. of Health Sciences, Faridkot. He has chaired various sessions in the Biochemistry meets. He has been designated as member Editorial Board of various in US and other European Courtiers. He is also involved in various research projects at Govt. Medical, Amritsar. He has done superspecialisation in Drug-de-addiction from PGIMER, Chandigarh.

Josef Bodor, Ph.D. has a broad background in the molecular pathogenesis of cancer as well as molecular and cellular immunology and virology. Specifically, he has expertise in the transcriptional regulation of cytokine and chemokine genes and their receptors. He completed his postdoctoral training at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and at the Massachusetts General Hospital, both Harvard Medical School affiliated institutions in Boston, MA. At the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bodor received a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School, as Instructor in Medicine. While at the Mass. General, Dr. Bodor collaborated with Jack L. Strominger at Harvard University and in 1996, reported an important discovery on lymphocyte biology in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.His discovery showed that a single transcription factor, termed ICER (inducible cAMP early repressor), could be critically involved in the modulation of immune response. Dr. Bodor has maintained collaborations in U.S., Germany, and Japan. Most significantly, he spent a year as a visiting scientist in the laboratory of Shimon Sakaguchi at Kyoto University in Japan and while Assistant Professor of Pathology at Columbia University (New York, NY), he reported on the role of ICER in regulatory T cell mediated suppression Dr. Bodor also served as a Visiting Professor at University in Würzburg and at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany where he played an active role as associated member of Transregio 52entitled ‘Transcriptional programming of individual T cell subsets’.
