Barry T Rouse received his initial education in England graduating as a veterinarian in 1965. He subsequently received graduate degrees for the University of Guelph in Canada followed by a postdoctoral in Australia at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of medical research, a renowned center for immunology research. He began his own independent laboratory investigating immunity to herpesviruses in 1972 and this endeavor still continues at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where he is the Lindsay Young Distinguished professor of microbiology. He has had continual funding with multiple grants from the NIH and has trained almost 80 PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. He has published >400 research papers and reviews and has a h index of 85. Rouse has won numerous awards for his research which includes the lifetime excellence in research award from the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Alcon Award for excellence in vision research. Rouse was one of the earliest investigators on DNA vaccines, the role of regulatory T cells in viral infections and the relevance of manipulating metabolism to shape the outcome of viral infections. Several of his trainees are active researches and educators in multiple countries around the world and Rouse still interacts with many of them.

Dr. Baneth is a professor of Veterinary Parasitology and Infectious Diseases at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Dr. Baneth graduated from the Hebrew University Koret School of Veterinary Medicine in Israel in 1990. He did a Small Animal internship and residency at the Hebrew University until 1994 followed by a fellowship in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases Research at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University during 1994 and 1995. He received a PhD in veterinary parasitology from the Hebrew University in 2000. Prof. Baneth served as the head of the Small Animal Internal Medicine Department at the Hebrew University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. He is a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (ECVCP), an associate member of the European Veterinary Parasitology College (EVPC) and an editorial advisory board member for the Journal Veterinary Parasitology since 2006. He is the vice president of the LeishVet group for standardization of the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of canine leishmanioasis, a member of Board of Directors, Israel Society for Parasitology, Protozoology and Tropical Diseases, and a founding member of the Tropical Council for Companion Animal Parasites (TroCCAP). Dr. Baneth was the chairman of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) during 2014-2019 and was an advisor to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) on leishmaniosis. Klaus is Dean of the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences and Chair Professor of Virology and One Health at City University. His research focuses on herpes-, influenza and coronaviruses. Using reverse genetics, his laboratory studies viral pathogenesis and utilizes this knowledge to engineer modified live virus vaccines. His research has been funded continuously since 1994 by public funding agencies including the European Union, the NIH, the USDA, the DFG and other public sources. Klaus is editor and member of the editorial board of a number of journals, and his honors include membership in the Academy of Sciences of Thuringia since 2014, the Young Investigator Award of the Academy for Animal Health (2002) and the WVPA-Boehringer Ingelheim Vaccine Innovation Award (2017).

After Peter’s BSc (Hons) and DVM training in Toronto and Saskatoon, Canada, he obtained his MS and PhD (Major of Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology, Minor of Biochemistry) in Minnesota, USA, then his board certification and DVSc in Veterinary Clinical Pathology in Guelph, Canada, where he served on faculty for 7 years as a Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Scholar and as Associate Professor of Clinical Pathology. He has published over 150 scientific papers and is most well known for development of tests for susceptibility to malignant hyperthermia and for occurrence of myocardial injury, and for in vitro, animal-alternative tests for predicting human hepatotoxicity. Prof. Bhunia received his Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) degree from West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences (India), Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming (USA), and postdoctoral training from the University of Arkansas (USA). He is a professor of food microbiology in the Department of Food Science and is also affiliated with the Department of Comparative Pathobiology, Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology and Infectious Disease (PI4D), and Purdue University Life Science program (PULSe). He is chair of the Interdepartmental Food Science Graduate Program. His expertise is in the area of microbial pathogenesis (host-pathogen interaction), probiotic bioengineering, and foodborne pathogen detection. Dr. Shimon Harrus is a professor of veterinary medicine (Infectious Diseases/Bacteriology) at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Clinical Pathology (Dipl. ECVCP). He graduated his veterinary studies at the Hebrew University (DVM, 1991), and completed rotating internship (1991-1992) and residency in small animal internal medicine (1992-1994). He received his PhD from Utrecht University, in 1998. He is a world expert on vector-borne diseases, researching the inter-relations between the vector, host and pathogen. His studies focus on Ehrlichiacanis,Bartonella and Rickettsia species. His current studies investigate the evolution and diversity of Bartonellaspecies. Prof. David's expertise are in quantitative genetics, population genetics and evolution. He has been to details the genetic basis of disease resistance and sex determination in different fish species. As part of developing safe and efficient aquaculture, Prof. David is breeding common carp strains, which are genetically resistant to an infectious disease cause by the Koi herpes virus, a devastating disease that spread globally to wherever carp is cultured. Prof. David uses the variation in resistance within its fish stock to study the genetic and immunological mechanisms underlying disease resistance.

Dr. Michael Skinner is a professor in the School of Biological Sciences at Washington State University, Pullman Washington, USA. He did his B.S. in chemistry at Reed College in Portland Oregon, his Ph.D. in biochemistry / chemistry at Washington State University (WSU) and his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the C.H. Best Institute at the University of Toronto, Canada. He has been on the faculty of Vanderbilt University and the University of California at San Francisco. He is the Founding Director of the Center for Reproductive Biology at WSU and University of Idaho, which is the largest reproduction biology center in the world, with nearly 100 faculty. Dr. Skinner’s current research has demonstrated the ability of environmental exposures (e.g., toxicants) promote the epigenetic transgenerational inheritance (non-genetic form of inheritance) of disease phenotypes due to abnormal germ line epigenetic programming in gonadal development. Dr. Skinner has over 350 peer reviewed publications and has given over 350 invited symposia, plenary lectures and university seminars. Dr. Skinner is the Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Reproduction and the Oxford publishing journal Environmental Epigenetics. Dr. Kalbfleisch graduated from the University of Louisville in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and earned his PhD in 1994 from Boston University in physical chemistry. That was followed by a 2 year Post-Doctoral fellowship studying chemical physics again at Boston University. He spent the first part of his career working in the pharmaceutical and emerging genomics industry. From there, he returned to his alma mater and joined the faculty at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2007 where much of his time was dedicated to the study of infrastructure to support clinical and translational research in human medicine. In that time, the most productive collaborations he was able to build were in animal genetics and genomics with the most significant resultto date being the 2018 publication of the reference genome for the horse. He was then able to join the faculty at the University of Kentucky in the department of Veterinary Science in 2019 where he can now focus his time teaching and studying animal genetics.

Prof. David Eilam's expertise is in fine-grain analyses of motor behavior in humans and other animals. Starting with studies on stereotyped behavior in zoo animals, we developed means for studying motor rituals in human suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), unveiling the mechanism of their compulsive rituals, supporting diagnosis and offering potential treatments for OCD. Currently we are developing an empiric model to test how a normal social environment reduces compulsive behavior, assuming that mental patients need first and foremost a supporting and considering social environment rather than stigmatism, discrimination, isolation and hospitalizing in asylums. In another field of research, we study spatial behavior in animals and humans, mainly on the mechanism of cognitive mapping and exploring unfamiliar environment. We focus on how the social environment affects the organization of spatial behavior. We also study how three-dimensional environments are perceived and conceived, in the context of the difficulties imposed by the worldwide shift to mega-cities with a major vertical component. Such three-dimensional environments introduce novel problems for humans, who are surface-bounded in their nature. Altogether, I published over 100 papers in scientific journals, supervised numerous graduate students, and frequently lecture in the media and popular forums.

Dr. Dubytska is a Tenured Assistant Professor at the Southern University of Baton Rouge, USA (2017-present).Her research focuses are to define the mechanisms that hosts invoke to protect themselves against pathogenic infection, and strategies used by pathogen to overcome those defenses. She has focused her work, for over 12 years, on understanding host-pathogen interactions, including host defense against extracellular and intracellular pathogens and molecular mechanisms associated with the ability of pathogens to survive inside of host cells. Her overarching research interest is in the mechanisms associated with the virulence of bacterial pathogens and for the development of strategies for protection and treatments against these pathogens. More specifically she is interested in examining bacterial virulence factors that include secretion systems and effector proteins, toxins and virulence genes and the host response to those factors

Dr. Cino is a board certified anatomic pathologist currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Head of Pathology Services at OklahomaAnimal Disease and Diagnostic Laboratory (OADDL), Oklahoma State University, USA. She obtained her DVM degree at the National University of Asunción, Paraguay (2009), her anatomic pathology board certification (2014) and PhD degree (2016) at Kansas State University, USA. She worked at Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, Kansas State University, USA as an anatomic pathologist, with emphasis in diagnostic service and teaching. Dr. Hiep Vu has a passionate interest in swine virology. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2005 from Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. After that, he pursued his graduate training at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical sciences, University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL), where he received his Master and PhD in 2007 and 2013, respectively. Dr. Vu is now an Assistant Professor at the Nebraska Center for Virology and Department of Animal Science, UNL.His laboratory is devoted to study swine viruses. The research topics that are studied in his laboratory include: (i) Host immune responses to natural infection or vaccination, (ii) Molecular characteristics of the viruses currently circulating in the swine population, and (iii) rational designs of vaccines capable of eliciting broadly protective immunity. He is the principal investigator on two patents pertaining to the development of a vaccine for porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV). He is serving as an Associate Editor for Journal of Medical Virology and a Guest Editor for a special issue in Vaccines.

Dr. Jishu Shi is a Professor of Vaccine Immunology at College of Veterinary Medicine, Kansas State University. He is also a Fellow at the Biosecurity Research Institute and the Founding Director of U.S.-China Center for Animal Health (2010-), Kansas State University. Having worked at Pfizer and multiple academic institutions in the U.S. in the last three decades, Dr. Shi’s research focuses on novel vaccines and diagnostic assays for high consequence animal diseases including classical swine fever (CSF), African swine fever (ASF), porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), other emerging viral diseases of swine in the last decade. Several of his research discoveries have been licensed to the animal health industry for product development. In addition to research, Dr. Shi also teaches DVM students and promotes global collaborations in veterinary medicine education through international partnerships among universities, animal health companies, industry associations, and government agencies.

Latifa Abdennebi-Najar, PhD is the Scientific Director and the Head of Products Quality and Health Department at the French Livestock Institute. Research Associate at the French Institute of Medical Research (INSERM). She is involved in a number of national and EU projects (as coordinator or subtask leader). Agronomic Engineer (ENSA, France, 1995) and PhD in Life Science at Sorbonne University (France, 1999). She held several research positions at INRAe and INSERM research institutes in France.In 2007, she initiated her research onfetal programming in Human and extended the field to Animal Science and livestock. Plamen Kirilov, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Technologies, Calude Beranrd University Lyon 1, grew up in Bulgaria and received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Toulouse, France in 2003. After he obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Paul Sabatier Toulouse 3 in 2007, he followed as Postdoctoral Associate during 2 years in Pierre Fabre Research Skin Center’s Laboratories and he joined Professor A.M. Sautereau's Laboratories at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Toulouse, France as a Postdoctoral and Training Associate Professor in 2011. In the meantime, he was a research chemist at the High School of Chemistry in Rennes, France and High School of Chemical Technologies in Nancy, France, 2009 – 2010 and 2010 – 2011respectively. Dr Kirilov has a keen interests and expertise in the fields of semisolid forms, dispersions and rheology of complex systems. Currently he holds the position of an Associate Professor in the University of Lyon where he is researching "Human and veterinary pharmaceutical technology" and "Formulation and physicochemical characterization of semi-solid forms and dispersed systems for cosmetic purposes, dermo-cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and therapeutics".

Prof Giacomo Rossi, Degree in Veterinary Medicine in the 1992, PhD in: "Environmental Veterinary Pathology" in the 1997, Master of sciences in 1998, Diplomate at European College of Zoological Medicine (ECZM) in 2014, Full professor in “Veterinary Physiopathology and Immunopathology” until now, at University of Camerino – Italy - has made significant contribution in the area of immunopathology of animals, with particular regard to the role of the gastrointestinal tract and intestinal microbiota in the development and modulation of the immune response and oral tolerance. Prof. Rossi has filed some licenses concerning new probiotic, prebiotic, symbiotic and post-biotic formulations for the stimulation of the immune system of mono - and polygastric animals, and has developed some "in ovo" immunostimulation techniques for poultry. He has also developed and patented some diagnostic tests for diseases of ornamental birds (parrots) and developed new pathogenetic theories for some immune-mediated diseases of animals. His recent work on the identified the alternative of antibiotic growth promoters with use of pro- and prebiotics by the strategy of FMT belonging to wild and not antibiotic-contaminated donors has been appreciated. He has guided 39 DVM student to the final thesis, and 8 Ph.D students, and published 193 research articles in peer reviewed international and national reputed journals. He has handled 9 international and national research projects. Prof. Rossi participated in the creation of 7 books / proceedings, 13 book chapters, and some extension / popular articles. He is currently working on the creation of an innovative therapeutic protocol for SARS-CoV2 infection. Surgery has always been my passion since graduating in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bologna in 2003. In 2004 I was awarded a scholarship to work as a student in the Surgical Unit of the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, University of Bologna and in 2009 I completed a Clinical PhD in Small Animal Surgery. I then received a post-doctoral Grant (orthopaedics) that permitted me to continue developing my surgical skills working in the Surgical Unit of the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Bologna . In 2012 I was involved as a clinical training scholar at the University College Dublin (Ireland) and then followed by time working as a freelance orthopaedic surgeon in Italy have only further affirmed my passion for surgery and research. Since 2019 am Senior Researcher in Small Animal Surgery at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the University of Teramo (Italy). I am authors and co-authors of scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals and speaker in Italian and international Meetings. Dr. Eun-Ju Sohn is one of co-founders and has been a CEO of BioApplications Inc. BioApplicaitons was established in 2011 spun-off from POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology, Pohang city, Korea). She is an affiliate faculty member of School of interdisciplinary Bioscience and Bioengineering, POSTECH. She had been working on intracellular protein trafficking study in plant cell for 10 years at POSTECH and UC_Riverside. Her company is focused on developing plant-based subunit vaccines for animals. “HERBAVACTM CSF marker” is the world-first approved porcine vaccine produced from transgenic plants. Plant-based ASFV, PCV2, PEDV and PPV recombinant subunit DIVA vaccines are under development. She is currently serving as a committee member of Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea.

Pawel M. Bartlewski (DVM, PhD) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He received his doctorate in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences from the University of Saskatchewan. His research interests include, but are not limited to, endocrinology of reproduction, assisted reproductive technologies, and non-invasive monitoring of internal organs and tissues in animals and humans. Professor Bartlewski teaches physiology and endocrinology to DVM and Biomedical Science students. During his academic career (2003-present) he supervised nearly forty graduate students. He has authored or co-authored 130 articles in peer-reviewed international journals. His most recent publications include original research papers in Domestic Animal Endocrinology (“Administration of a single dose of 300 IU of human chorionic gonadotropin seven days after the onset of estrus improves pregnancy rate in dairy goats by an unknown mechanism”; 2021;106579) and Theriogenology (“Correlates of reproductive tract anatomy and uterine histomorphometrics with fertility in swine”;2021;165:44-51).

Susan Nance is Professor in the Department of History and affiliated faculty with the Campbell Centre for the Study of Animal Welfare at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. She is the author of various books and articles including Rodeo: An Animal History (University of Oklahoma Press, 2020).

Associate Professor Dana Stanley was awarded a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Victoria University, Melbourne, 2009. Her PhD project entitled “Generation and Characterisation of Ethanol-Tolerant Saccharomyces cerevisiae Mutants” investigated the molecular and metabolic determinants of ethanol tolerance in yeast and was awarded “The most outstanding PhD in 2009” by Victoria University. Following PhD graduation she started a postdoctoral position in CSIRO’s Animal Health Laboratories (AAHL), in poultry intestinal health research. Dana specialised in gut microbiota, gene expression and genetics during her time at AAHL. She moved to Central Queensland University in 2013 and she is now a leader of the Microbial Genomics research cluster focusing in livestock intestinal health, probiotic and next generation antibiotic development and pathogen control. Dana is also passionate about nature conservation, animal ethics, exercise, and nutrition.

Dr. Javiera Cornejo Kelly (MV., PhD) is a Professor at the Faculty of Animal andVeterinary Sciences, University of Chile, at the Preventive Medicine Department. Dr. Cornejo has directed different national and international research projects related to residues and contaminants in food, feed and alternative matrices as feathers, animal waste and others by-products. She is currently the Director of the Food Safety Laboratory, and Co-Director of FARMAVET laboratory, both responsible for Food Safety Programs in Chile. Dr. Cornejo conducts teaching and research in the area of Food Safety. Her research is mainly focused on the presence of veterinary drugs residues in food, intended for human consumption, its consequences for public health and their monitoring in food and animal production. Currently, Dr. Cornejo is focused on the study of the presence of antimicrobial residues in animal waste, animal byproducts and environmental samples, as a pathway for contaminants re-entering into the food chain.

Jurij Wacyk is an Agronomic Engineer from University of Chile, where he also obtained a Master degree working in fish nutrition (nutrient absorption). After this, he got a PhD on fish physiology from the University of Idaho, USA, working with Dr. Ronald Hardy in fish nutrigenomics to study amino acid metabolism in trout. He currently hold a full time professor position at U of Chile and his research interests are focused to gain insights in how fish can use their nutrients more efficiently, via balancing the animal requirements and the use of natural resources in a sustainable way. Using both traditional and molecular tools he has study the effect of the of different protein sources, anti-nutritional factors and plant extracts (terrestrial and marine) over productive performance and the functions of central organs like liver and intestine, central in the acquisition and use of nutrients. He has carried out studies with salmonids (trout and salmon), tilapia and now he is also working with red and golden cusk eel, halibut and yellowtail.

Dr. Miguel Guzmán is an academic in the Faculty of Veterinary and Agronomic Sciences at the Universidad de las Américas. Also, he isintegrant of the “Núcleo de Investigaciones Aplicadas en Ciencias Veterinarias y Agronómicas” (NIAVA) at thesameUniversity. And a researcher at the Universidad de Chile, and collaborates with the Avian Pathology Laboratory at the Universidad de Chile. Dr. Miguel Guzmán achieved his DVM and PhD at the Universidad de Chile. He has participated as a professor in different courses regarding avian health and production. His interests are focused on pathology in poultry and the characterization of pathogens affecting them. He has participated in several projects focused on poultry diseases, caused by viral, bacterial, and protozoaria agents, for example, Infectious Bronchitis Virus, Infectious Bursal Disease Virus, Avian Reovirus, Histomona meleagridis, among others. Moreover, he has been requested as a consultant about sanitary and productive issues by poultry farmers.

Dr. Csaba Szabó, associate professor in animal nutrition at the University of Debrecen, Hungary (2014-present), is an expert onamino acid and energy nutrition of monogastric animals. His recent research focuses on the effect of heat stress on the physiological changes in pigs, the effect of yeast supplementation on the fiber digestibility in horses, the effect of methionine sources and levels on layers and the modulation of colostrum bioactive components in sows. He ismentoring three international graduate students and published more than 80 research articles. He awarded the Bolyai and Eötvös Scholarship program of Hungary. Dr. László Kőrösi graduated as an agricultural manager, then obtained a veterinary degree at the Veterinary University, Budapest. He acquired the poultry specialist veterinarian degree in 1983. He worked nine years for the Shaver layer breeding company, first as the company veterinarian, then later providing technical and veterinarian services in Hungary and abroad. He was head veterinarian of Ross joint-venture GP program in Hungary giving technical and veterinary service for the customers in Hungary and Europe. He founded his technical and veterinary poultry consultancy company called AgriAL Bt. in 2002, which is providing consultancy services for different global companies in Hungary. He worked for the exclusive distributor of Merial in Hungary for 15 years as a poultry specialist veterinarian. Recently he was the country manager of Cobb Germany in Hungary for 9 years. At present he is working as a field consultant veterinarian as a registered expert of the Agricultural Ministry of Hungary, giving service in different countries in Europe and overseas. He was the correspondent secretary of the Hungarian Branch of World Poultry Veterinary Association for more than 14 years. He has a number of scientific publications, presenting papers on different congresses and symposium. He is a honorary associate professor and giving lectures at the Veterinary University Budapest. He is a member of the Poultry Veterinarian Study Group of EU (PVSGEU).

Daniel S. Dezmirean isa full professor in the Department of Animal Science and Technology, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology - University of Agricultural Science and Veterinary Medicine Cluj Napoca, România. He has graduated the same faculty (1997) followed by a master degree in Applied Biotechnologies (1998) and a Ph.D. Diploma (2004) in the same field. He is currently involved in teaching, research and administration activities (dean) at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Biotechnologies. The research interest fields are: animal and insect productions, beekeeping, sericulture, the quality of the bee and sericulture products, the biotechnological approach of insects for Pharma Farming Concepts, the behavior of the social insects, behavioral indicators of animal welfare etc. Dr. Dezmirean is a member of several international networks and consortiums, i.e. Romanian Beekeeping Association, International Sericultural Commission (National Delegate and Chair of Bombyx mori section), International Honey Commission. Dr. Dezmirean lead a lot more than 20th research grants (nationally and internationally funded), has mentored more than 50 graduate students and postdocs, he published more than 200 research articles, chapters and books (10) and received numerous national awards. He is executive director of themaster’s degree program Ethology &Human-Animal Interactions.

Ana Rita Henriques(DVM, MSc, PhD) is an invited lecturer of Veterinary Public Health and Food Technology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Lisbon. She also works as a food safety consultant and auditor in several food companies. She has published several peer-reviewed papers and oral and poster communications in scientific meetings and conferences on topics related to Food Safety and Food Microbiology and is currently interested in developing research using risk-benefit assessment in foods.

Prof. Andrei D. Mihalca, DVM, graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca Romania, in 2002 and in 2007 he obtained his Ph.D. degree in Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases at the same institution. Currently he is affiliated to the Department of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Since 2014, he is Diplomate of the European College of Zoological Medicine and European Veterinary Specialist in Wildlife Population Health. His main research interests include ecology of vectors and vector-borne diseases, wildlife diseases, tropical parasitology and conservation medicine. He published more than 170 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. He is currently the Chair for Guidelines at the Tropical Council for Companion Animal Parasites and the leader of Capacity Building in VectorNet.Additionally, he is an external consultant for EFSA, ECDC, CITES, WWF and IAEA and member of the Scientific Committee of ECZM. He coordinated more than 25 research projects, including the European EurNegVec COST Action. He is actively involved in research, conservation medicine and social veterinary medicine projects focused on parasitic and infectious diseases of small animals (dogs and cats) and wildlife across sub-Saharan Africa with previous work done in Kenya, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Somalia, Central African Republic and Liberia. Prof. Andrei D. Mihalca is in the editorial board of several peer-reviewed journals, including Parasites & Vectors, International Journal for Parasitology: Parasites and Wildlife, BMC Veterinary Research, Veterinary Parasitology: Regional studies and Reports etc. In the free time, he is doing wildlife photography and travels.

Dr. Deak Georgiana is an active resident of the European College of Veterinary Parasitology since 2019 and also the chairman of the Residents Committee. Ioana A. Matei (Buzura-Matei) is a lecturer in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Epidemiology, at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Manastur 3-5, 400372 Cluj Napoca (Romania). She obtained her PhD degree in 2016 and its doctoral thesis was focused on the eco-epidemiology of Anaplasma spp. in Europe and Africa. The main research interestsinclude tick-borne disease and antimicrobial resistance emergence. On these topics, she published 44 papers published in ISI indexed journals.

Dr. Cristina Pop Cazan is a Scientific Researcher at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Dr. Pop Cazan received a PhD in Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She heads the laboratory of Molecular Biology and Veterinary Parasitology since 2020. Dr. Pop Cazan research interests focus on sand fly species, zoonotic vector-borne diseases including leishmaniasis and dirofilariasis. During the post-doctoral studies, in 2021, she also became a taxonomist, describing a new sand fly species present in Romania.

Anamaria Ioana Paștiu (Iovu) is a Lecturer in the Department of Genetics and Hereditary Diseases and PhD in Medical Sciences, specialization Veterinary Medicine, with the topic "Toxoplasmosis in small ruminants and pigs – epidemiology, diagnosis and control of disease". During the 13 years of professional activity, she has been working in three main research fields: parasitology, immunology and molecular biology, especially addressing the topics related to the foodborne parasites Toxoplasma gondii. She published in peer-reviewed ISI indexed journals: 11 articles as main author, 15 as co-author and 6 ISI-abstracts, mainly with the topic Toxoplasma gondii in animals.

Jane is an Associate Professor and Head of Research at Hartpury University. She is an experienced researcher, with a passion for enhancing equine performance and wellbeing through industry-informed, real-world research that generates change. Jane gained her Masters in Equine Science before completing her doctorate exploring the application of surface electromyography as a tool to assess muscle adaptation during training in racehorses and sport horses. Her main areas of professional interest include scientific evaluation of equestrian performance, training and wellbeing, rider impacts on equitation, reliability assessment across equestrian science and veterinary physiotherapy, and human-animal interaction.Jane co-edited and authored ‘Training for Equestrian Performance’ with Dr David Evans, to showcase how science and research can be applied practically to improve performance for horses and their riders, and has published over 100 research articles as well as regularly presenting at international equine conferences. She is also Honorary President for the International Society of Equitation Science, which promotes the application of objective research and advanced practice, to improve the welfare of horses in their associations with humans. Jane is a member of the editorial board of Comparative Exercise Physiology and Animals journals.

Ulrika has worked at UDS since 2016. She has previously received her doctorate from SLU and defended her dissertation in 2006. She has previously been employed as a clinic veterinarian in Gammelstad, Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall and Stockholm and run a small animal clinic in Sundvall with three colleagues. Ulrika works primarily with reproduction at the "Reproduction Center for Dogs and Cats", a highly specialized reproduction clinic run by the University Animal Hospital in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Sciences at SLU. Ulrika also works in the operating room and in the emergency room. In her spare time, Ulrika has a small breeding of Burmese cats. She currently has no dog but has with her previous dogs rescue, competed in use and run drag.

Dr. Qablan is an assistant professor of veterinary parasitology at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dr. Qablan received his bachelor and master degree in Applied Biology, in 2003 and 2006, respectively, from the Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan. He received a PhD in veterinary parasitology from University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences (UVPS), Brno, Czech Republic in 2012. Currently he is the program coordinator of the veterinary medicine program at UAEU. Dr. Qablan research interests focus on the epidemiology, genetic diversity and host specificity of veterinary and zoonotic vector-borne infectious diseases including piroplasmosis, trypanosomiasisand Malaria in domestic and wildlife animals. In 2019, Dr, Qablan, was awarded a grant to study the pathogen risk assessment on the endangered Arabian felines in the United Arab Emirates.He is the author of 17scientific publications and he is serving as a reviewer in several Peer reviewed Journals.

Dr. PacharaThananurak, assisted reproductive biotechnologies researcher and lecturer at the Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Thailand, is an expert on semen biology, in vitro sperm storage, semen quality tests, embryo production, in vitro/in vivo fertility, and artificial insemination in animals. She initially worked on semen biology. She thereafter focuses her activity on the biological activity of avian gametes and on sperm ability to in vitro and in vivo storage. The successively simple freezing method for poultry semen cryopreservation was developed which suitable for the storage of the genetic for commercial and artificial insemination dose for use of poultry semen cryopreservation, the fertility outcome is approaching the results of artificial insemination with fresh semen or natural mating and application to commercial breeding programs. Dr.Niwat Chansiripronchai obtained his DVM degree in 1993 at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. In 2000, he got his MSc from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden in the field of Molecular Epidemiology and in 2004, he was awarded his PhD degree from Utrecht University, Utrecht, Netherlands in the field of Infectious Diseases and Immunology. In 2015, he was a founder member of Thai Board of Veterinary Medicine (DTBVM). For academic, Dr.Niwat started his career at Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University since 1993. He was assigned to work in the field of Avian Medicine and Epidemiology. He got more than 60 research grant from government and private partners both local and international levels. Up to now, he has more than 100 publications and 60 of them are internationals and also more than 40 lay summaries and conference proceedings. He was invited to give many special lectures and academic services, also he was promoted to be many scientific and expert committees, both local and international levels. He got a USA patent (US2009/0250845 A1) on avian immunomodulation in 2009. His works has major focused in poultry respiratory and enteric diseases. Currently, he is full-time Associate Professor in Chulalongkorn University as lecturer, researcher and poultry veterinary practitioner. For administration, he was appointed as an assistant dean during 2005-2009 and then, he was promoted to be chair of graduate program in Veterinary Medicine, Chulalongkorn University during 2009-2013. During 2013-2014, he was appointed to OIE Charge De Mission at World Organisation for Animal Health, Paris, France, supervised on Human-Animal interface of respiratory diseases. Currently, he has been promoted to be the President of Thai Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (TAVLD), national expert committee of poultry meat and product, and conference chairman of Thai Veterinary Medical Association.

Prof. Dr. DUONG NGUYEN KHANG, Ph.D., Nong Lam University of Ho Chi Minh City He received the PhD degree in Animal Nutrition and Management at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in 2004. Five years after, he got the Associate Professor title. He also got Full Professor title in 2019. At present, he is a member of Professional Associations of Vietnamese Biogas, a member of academic trainings at Nong Lam University. He has published more than 80 national and international articles relating on animal methane emissions and biodigester. He found nutritional solutions balancing in emissions and utilization of carbon dioxide as well as reduction of methane:meat production ratios in cattle production. In Vietnam, he developed the humid tropical areas of sustainable system of integrated livestock, black soldier fly (for animal/bird manure treating, crop/food processing wastes treating…) and fuel production based on fractionation of high biomass crops, forage trees and water plants with emphasis on ruminant and recycling of wastes which is environmentally friendly by using the black soldier fly. It is based on agroecological principles of organic-based inputs and biological control of pests and diseases, the feeding systems for ruminants in mountain areas using sugar cane, leaves from trees and water plants has been introduced and developed to poor farmers. Beside that he also set up the low-cost plastic biodigester and improvements to the technology, over 500,000 units installed and paid for by farmers. Dr. Gabriel Leitner (SeniorScientist, equivalent to full professor) was a senior researcher in National Mastitis Reference Center, Kimron Veterinary Institute Bet Dagan, Israel since 1993. He received his BSc at the University of MD in 1986 and in 1991 completed his Ph.D. in Immunogenetics, Faculty of Agriculture, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He spent 2 years in a Postdoctoral position as a Research Associate in Immunology at the University of Minnesota, Department of Clinical and Population Science and a Sabbatical in Ruminant Research Group, University Autònoma of Barcelona, España (2012). During his career he trained numerous doctoral and master’s degree students in collaboration with the Hebrew University. In addition, he has been a lecturer at Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, The Hebrew University and Ruppin Technical College. He has published over 190 articles in reviewed journals and booksand organized and participated in dozens of international professional conferences. He has developed numerous patents in his field. With extensive expertise and experience in both research and field work, he has made significant contributions to the improvement of agriculture on both Israel and the international levels, particularly to the dairy industry. He research has promoted understanding of the immune response related to specific pathogens as a sub-system of the animal as a holistic whole. Currently, he is serving as the CSO of Armenta Ltd., an Agtech company in Israel. Armenta developed innovative non-invasive, antibiotics free therapies based on acoustic pulse technology (APT).

Eran Lavy is an Associate Professor for Veterinary Medicine at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HUJI). He received BSc. in agriculture (animal husbandry) HUJI at 1984, MSc. in pharmaceutical sciences HUJI at 1986 and his DVM degree HUJI at 1989. He was certified as specialist in clinical medicine of companion animals by the Israeli Veterinary Services at 1995 and as specialist in veterinary pharmacology by the Israeli Veterinary Services at 1997. He was certified as specialist Diplomate in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (Dip. ECVPT), by the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at 1999. Since 1989 he is a faculty member at the HUJI. He used to work at the Hebrew University Teaching Hospital in the Internal Medicine Department with special interest in gastroenterology until 2018. His research interests are mainly in clinical pharmacology especially aspects related to controlled release drug delivery systems (CRDDS). He is teaching in several Veterinary Medicine courses. Professor Lavy supervised M.Sc., Ph.D. and final DVM thesis students, published over 70 scientific papers and hold 8 patents in the field of CRDDS. He is a member of several committees at the Veterinary Medicine School as well as at the Agriculture Faculty and several organizations around the world.

Tristan Darrel Agustin is a licensed veterinarian who graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2020. He is known for being passionate in his practice particularly in the field of ruminants. In 2017, at the age of 19, Tristan was given the opportunity to partake in a research project at the Agricultural University in Krakow, Poland. The project focused on the correlation between mammary gland echotexture and milk composition in dairy cattle, which earned him a published article in 2020. A couple of months after returning to the Philippines, Tristan became a recipient of prestigious international scholarships, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation - Merck Animal Health Scholarship in 2017 and the World Veterinary Association - MSD Animal Health Veterinary Student Scholarship in 2018. Tristan devotes his time in providing training, inspirational talks, and technical lectures for students and farmers alike. Currently, he is exploring other fields such as small animal and wildlife practice at Animal Care Hospital and Wellness Center, and free-range chicken farming with his newly established Central Perch Fresh Eggs, aiming to acquire broad knowledge and skills, and become a veterinary practitioner of multiple species.

Dr. Eddie P. Mondejar is an Associate Member of the National Research Council of the Philippinesand a Facultyat the Department of Biological Sciences of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in Iligan City, Philippines. He was also trained in DNA Barcoding Techniques and Methodologies at the Canadian Centre for DNA Barcoding of the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario (now Centre for Biodiversity Genomics), University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He has been involved in the implementation of the Global Malaise Trap Program in the Philippines, which aims to acquire detailed temporal and spatial information on terrestrial arthropod communities using DNA Barcoding, and contributed more than 33K sequences in the Barcode of Life Data System. His research interests include (1)biodiversity and conservation of vertebrates and invertebrates; (2) Isolation of biologically active natural products from insects for biopesticides in pest management; and (3) monitoring invasive ant species. Dr. Mondejar has published papers in international peer-reviewed journals listed in Clarivate Web of Science and reviewed a paper in The European Zoological Journal (publisher Taylor & Francis).

Dr Rosangela Zacarias Machado has a bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1972), a master’s degree in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of São Paulo (1978) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of São Paulo (1982). In 1991 she was approved as an adjunct professor through a public professorship competition. She did postdoctoral studies at Washington State University, USA, during the period 1991-1993. She is currently a titular professor and since 1973 has also been a professor at the “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” State University of São Paulo (UNESP), in the Department of Veterinary Pathology of the School of Agrarian and Veterinary Sciences (FCAV), Jaboticabal Campus, SP, teaching the disciplines of Veterinary Parasitology I and II, Zootechnical Parasitology, General Parasitology and Veterinary Deontology Legislation

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2015) and residency in Parasitic Diseases (2018) by the State University of Londrina (Brazil), Master's degree in Animal Science with an emphasis on Public Health (2020) by the same institution. She is currently a doctoral student in the research project "Development and validation of immunoensaids applied to the diagnosis of acute toxoplasmosis in pregnancy and congenital" at State University of Londrina (Brazil) and participates as a collaborator in research and extension projects aimed at Health Education and Epidemiological Surveillance. He has experience in the field of Parasitology, with an emphasis on Zoonosis, acting mainly on the following themes: Toxoplasma gondii, congenital toxoplasmosis surveillance program and epidemiology of other parasitic zoonoses.

Gisele Picolo graduated in Biology, obtained her master degree in Experimental and Comparative Pathology andher PhD in the field of Pharmacology. She is currently researcher at Butantan Institute and Director of the Laboratory of Pain and Signaling. She acts as principal investigator at the Center for toxins, immune response and cell signaling (CeTICS, Brazil)and as a collaborative researcher at the Center of excellence in the discovery of new molecular targets (a partnership between CENTD/FAPESP, Brazil and GSK). She acts in the areas of Pathophysiology and Pharmacology, acting mainly on the following themes: pain and inflammation, analgesia, animal poisons and toxins, and in the search for new analgesic compounds. She was awarded with the IASP Developing Countries Collaborative Research Grants, offered by the International Association for the Study of Pain in 2016, and awarded among the 5 best works in chronic pain during the 6th International Congress on Neuropathic Pain, Sweden, 2017. She is member of the National Commission for the Organization of the Brazilian Biology Olympicssince 2018. She authored more than 45 publications (scientific articles, reviews, monographs, book chapters). She has 4 patents applied as inventor in the area of analgesics.

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (2015) from São Paulo State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP). Master's (2017) and PhD (2021) in Animal Science, with an emphasis on Immunology, by the same institution. The last research project develop is titled "miR-21 in the immune regulation in Canine Visceral Leishmaniasis". Also participates as a collaborator in research projects about immunogenetics in Leptospira sp. infection, immune response in Canine Visceral Leishmaniasis and new immunoassays for the diagnosis of Canine Visceral Leishmaniasis. I have experience in the areas of Immunogenetics and Immunoparasitology, with an emphasis on Zoonosis and Canine Leishmaniasis, acting mainly on the following themes: Leishmania infantum in dogs, microRNA in the immune response, new diagnostic tools, serological and molecular diagnosis of Canine Leishmaniasis.

Has a PhD in Veterinary Parasitology, and has also expertise in Veterinary Clinical Pathology, Parasitic Diseases and Molecular Biology. Dr. Hosna Hajati is assistant professor of poultry nutrition at Agricultural Research and Education Center of Tabriz, Iran. She has completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in Poultry Nutrition in the Department of Animal Science of the University of Tehran, Iran in 2019. She received her PhD from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran in 2014. Her research interest areas are natural feed additives, in ovo feeding, and nutrition of game birds. Her publications include 26 papers in international journals, more than 50 conference abstracts, and seven books.

His research focuses on the genomic studies in Dromedaries. He published the first report of GWAS and genomic prediction for growth in dromedaries using Genotyping-By Sequencing and developed The low SNP panel for growth genomic prediction in dromedary.Healso designed SAREBANYAR app for camel breeding.

Prof. Dr. Pudji Astuti (vet), MS graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in 1985 and served as a lecturer in the Department of Physiology, FVM, UGM immediately after graduation. Following her Doctorate in Primatology from Bogor Agricultural University in 2006, she became mainly interested in analyzing and performing deeper endocrinological research. In 2013, she was acknowledged as a Professor in the field of Animal Physiology.

Dr. Hassan Nima currently works at the Department of Animal Resources, University of Basrah. Hassan does research in Animal Science, Biotechnology and Molecular Genetics. Their current project is 'Relationship between hsp70 polymorphism and foot root disease in bull.' Director of the office of the vice chancellor for scientific research affairs(University of Basrah) 2013 – 2014. A representative of the University of Basrah in the ministry of higher education (business technology incubators) 2013. Chairman of the media committee of the Permanent exhibition of marketing scientific outputs of the University of Basrah 2014. Coordinator of the US organization IREX (for the development of higher education in Iraq) and the Iraqi Higher Education Ministry since 2019.

Doctor Dewi Apri Astuti is a Professor physiological of nutrition at the Department of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology, Faculty of Animal Science, IPB University, Indonesia. She has authored and co-authored for more than 172 publications in journals and proceedings, including 10 books, one of them is Monograph Cricket Farming in Indonesia – Lambert (2016). She has mentored over than 170 graduate students and post graduate students with research interest in the field of animal nutrition with emphasis on small nutrition. As a career achiever, Dr. Dewi A. Astuti has received national and international mandatory boards, as Head of the Career Development Division of the Indonesian Association of Nutrition and Feed Technology (AINI), and as Country Representative of Asian Australasian Dairy Goat Network (AADGN). Dr. Dewi A. Astuti is an elected Fellow of DSE, JSPS, DAAD and North Caroline Primate Centre fellowship.

He received his PhD degree (Reproduction and Artificial Insemination) in 2011 (Selcuk University). He wasassoc. professor since 2018 at Ataturk University Veterinary Faculty.He attended several National/International Conference, international programs.He was involved in national and international research on animal reproduction.His research focuses on freezing sperm in farm animals and investigating the effectiveness of antioxidants on reproductive parameters in rats.He is also interested in the biochemical and molecular mechanisms of fertilization and sperm cell energy metabolism. Besides, he is PhD student of Biochemistry and undergraduate studentof Molecularr biology and genetics, Atatürk University.

Subha Bhassu is the Head of Animal Genomics and Evolutionary Biology Lab (AGAGEL), which is affiliated to Institute of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, University Malaya and also Head of Terra-Aqua Lab of Center for Biotechnology in Agriculture (CEBAR). She has a PhD in Molecular Biology specialization in molecular, population and quantitative genetics.She has been awarded the One of Established Scientisit in 2018 and also won many awards in the field on molecular biology. She is currently is part of national framework on biosafety and biosecurity committee for health under the Ministry of Public Health, she is also part of Institutional of Biosafety and Biosecurity of University Malaya which is called IBBC and now serving under the JBK which is Jawatankuasa Bio-Keselamatan under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. He focal point to outreach the community by creating awareness on biosafety and biosecurity in aquaculture which is seen as the next Blue economy. Therefore food safety and food security is important.

Felix Reinders is the Chair of the Global Framework on Water scarcity in Agriculture and the immediate past President of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage. He is a Professional Engineer, registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa and completed his Engineering studies in 1979 at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Dr. Roland Suluku was born in Gondama, Kamajei Chiefdom Moyamba District Southern Province. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture General from Njala University College in 1993. He worked in various international Non-governmental Organizations, assisting refugees and displaced people during the civil war in Sierra Leone (1991-2002). Dr. Suluku Pursued a Master's degree in Animal Science after the war and later gained employment with German Agro Action as Animal Husbandry Specialist. After two years at German Agro Action, he gained Employed as Lecturer at Njala University in 2006. He established the Animal Health Club, raised awareness on rabies, helped animal owners across the country. Animal Health Club activities gained international attention and called him as Father of One Health. He was the first person to implement One Health in rural communities in his country. Dr. Suluku educates animal owners on proper husbandry practices, vaccination and treatment of animals, disease control and prevention, and environmental sanitation and water management for the past 29 years.. He uses by-laws to control animals in rural communities. Dr. Suluku is the Head of three units within the university: Njala University One Health Serology and Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, Animal Production Division, and Department of Animal Science in Njala University. He desires to eliminate zoonotic diseases in his country. He Loves animals, care for human beings.

Dr. Mohamed Ragab,associated professor of Animal Breeding and Genetic at Kafr El Sheikh University, Egypt, worked as a postdoctoral fellow with at Institute for Food and Agricultural Research and Technology (IRTA, Barcelona, Spain) at the Department of Animal Breeding and genetics from 2014-2017. Hisprimary research goals are directed toward understanding the basis of animal breeding and genetic. I am a postgraduate of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain, and hold a Master and PhD degrees in Animal Breeding (Quantitative Genetics) and Reproduction Biotechnology. Also, Ragab had another Master in Poultry Breeding and Genetic for Kafr El Sheikh University, Egypt.He has mentored many graduate students and postdocs and published important research articles about animal breeding.

Dr. SanweerKhatoon,Assistant Professor and Incharge of Department of Veterinary Parasitology Udaipur from 2014 till date, is an expert onentomology, protozoology and helminthology. Her research focuses on anthelminthic and acaricidal resistances and control of vectors,parasites as well as zoonotic parasitic diseases. She has mentored over 06 post graduate students and published more than 20 research articles, 01 Sovenier cum compendium and authored 02 books. She has given over 40 presentations/posters as well as invited/keynote presentations throughout the country and world.As a career achiever, Dr. Sanweer has received numerous national and international awards, notably the Best oral presenter award,Young Scientist Award , Young faculty award, Young Organising secretary of National conference,Achievement award. Dr. Avishek Biswas is a Principal Scientist in ICAR- Central Avian Research Institute (CARI), India at Animal Nutrition division. He has made significant contribution in the area of mycotoxin amelioration through nutritional intervention for improvement of productive, reproductive, immune efficiency and sound gut health. Dr. Biswas developed several novel nutritional strategies, diagnostic and prophylactic modalities and least cost feed formulation with use of alternate feed resources that substantially enhanced poultry productivity (meat) many fold in high altitude region. His recent work on the identified the alternative of antibiotic growth promoters with natural growth promoters for poultry feed has been appreciated. He is recipient of several prestigious international and national and awards. He has guided 6 MVSc and 3 Ph.D students and published 85 research articles in peer reviewed international and national reputed journals. He has handled 18 research projects. Dr. Biswas has edited 20 books/proceedings, 6 teaching manuals, 12 technical bulletins, 52 book chapters, 45 extension/popular articles.

GANESH BAHADUR THAPA, Ph.D. is the Chief of Natural History Museum, TU, Swayambhu, Nepal since 2019. He has completed M.Sc., Zoology(Fish and Fisheries) at TU (Nepal, 1994) and Ph.D. in water quality and microbial fish diseases at North Bengal University(Darjeeling, West Bengal, India, 2017) [Awarded with Nepal Bidhya Bhushan "ka" by the president of Nepal on 8 September 2017 on the occasion of National Education Day.]He has been working as a Member of Campus Management and Executive Committee and has worked as Head of Department of Biology at Central Campus of Technology, Dharan. He is an active member of the Nepal Zoological Society, T.U., a Member of Nepal Fisheries Society (NEFIS), and a Member of Shalom Club, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel (MASHAV). He has also worked as a Member of the Selection Committee (Service Commission) in BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, Nepal from 2008 to 2011. He has led several research projects in Nepal and has as many as 25 published national and international journals. He is currently editor-in-chief of the Journal of Natural History Museum, TU since 2019 and has worked as a member of the editorial board of HiJOST (Himalayan Journal of Science and Technology).

Also, to boost the research activities on animal science, Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi bestowed the Visiting Fellowship award. Also, the University Grants Commission granted the Visiting Associateship award. Research projects have also been financed by the University Grants Commission, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi and Indian Silk Board, Bangalore to investigate various aspects of bio-ecology of animals concerned. In recognition of research contributions ● Sir Asutosh Mookerjee Prize and Medal, Premchand Roychand Diploma, Moat Medal have also been awarded by the University of Calcutta. Also, diploma in connection with the research contributions in the field of Medical and Applied Malacology have been conferred by the International Association for Medical and Applied Malacology, Michigan, U.S.A. in Mexico Congress. In course of teaching and research programme I had the opportunity to represent India in the Zoological Congress in Bangladesh, International Congress on Medical and Applied Malacology in Mexico, International Congress of Acarology (as INSA delicate) in Czechoslovakia, International Congress of Parasitology in Paris, France, International Congress of Population dynamics of mites in Copenhagen, Denmark, etc. More than 200 research articles (including s monograph published by the ZSI and two chapters in books published by CAB International, Oxon) describing different aspects of certain species of Protozoa, Helminthes, Annelida, Equirida, Arthropoda, Mollusca, Pisces, Amphibia, Reptilia and Mammalia have been published in various journals being published from Great Britain, Germany, France, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Denmark, Netherland, Belgium, U.S.A., Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Bangladesh and India. Many students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees under my supervision and many more are engaged in research work as per my guidance as a Senior Faculty member of the Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta.
