James Gao holds the Medway Chair of Manufacturing Engineering, and is the Head of Centre for Innovative Product Development, School of Engineering, University of Greenwich. Prior to his current position, he was a lecturer/senior lecturer at Cranfield University from 1993-2006. James Gao is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He obtained BSc in mechanical engineering in 1984 from Dalian Institute of Technology (China), then obtained MSc and PhD from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UK) in 1987 and 1989 respectively. He has over 170 publications in international journals and conferences, and directed a large number of research projects in the areas of knowledge and innovation management, product lifecycle management and computer aided design and manufacturing.

Morris A. Cohen is the Panasonic Professor of Manufacturing and Logistics in the Operations, Information and Decisions Department, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also Co-Director of Wharton’s Fishman-Davidson Center for Service and Operations Management. He is currently the department editor for services in the Journal of Manufacturing and Service Operations Management and is a Fellow of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science, and a Senior Fellow of the Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society.Dr. Cohen was founder and chair of the board of MCA Solutions, a software company specializing in after-sales logistics planning systems, which recently merged with PTC, a leading provider of product design and service life cycle management decision support systems. He recently founded a startup (D3 Analytics), that is applying concepts of machine learning and big data to a new paradigm for supply chain planning and control. He has also been a policy analyst for the planning branch of the Treasury Board Secretariat of the Government of Canada.

Prof. Leszek Adam Dobrzański, DSc, PhD, MSc, Eng, Hon. Prof., M Dr HC is a Full Professor and the Director of the Science Centre of the Medical and Dental Engineering Centre for Research, Design and Production ASKLEPIOS in Gliwice, Poland. In 1971-2017 he worked at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland as Full Professor, Vice Rector, Dean of the Faculty, Director of the Institute and Head of Division. He was conferred abroad a title Honorary Professor in Lviv, Ukraine and 3 times titles of Doctor Honoris Causa in, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Hungary. His scientific output includes about 2500 scientific publications, including about 50 books and monographs and 50 chapters in books and monographs. He has 55 position in ranking most cited Polish scientists of all scientific disciplines and is included to the group of 5% most read Authors by the Academia Platform.

Jafar Rezaei is an associate professor and Head of Section Transport and Logistics. He did his Ph.D. at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM), Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He has a background in Operations Research, and has published in several peer-reviewed journals. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Supply Chain Management Science. In 2015, he developed the Best Worst Method (BWM).His main research interests are freight transport modeling and analysis, supply chain partnership, supplier selection and segmentation, multi-objective and multi-criteria decision-making

Ahmed Chemori received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, both in automatic control from Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France, in 2001 and 2005 respectively. Then he has been a Research and Teaching Assistant at Laboratory of Signals and Systems (LSS - Centrale Supelec) and University Paris 11 for one year before joining Gipsa-Lab as a postdoctoral researcher. He is currently a tenured research scientist in Automatic control and Robotics for the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), at LIRMM laboratory of the University of Montpellier. His research interests include nonlinear (robust, adaptive and predictive) control and their real-time applications in robotics.

Dr. Nenad Mladenovic, a member of the European academy of sciences (Academia Europea), is currently at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He leads or participates in several international research projects in Kazakhstan, Serbia, China, and Russia. He has taught in several countries, including France, the United Kingdom, Canada, Belgium, Serbia, and the UAE. He had visiting professor positions in more than a dozen universities around the globe.

Mitsuo Gen received his PhD in engineering from Kogakuin University, PhD degree in informatics from Kyoto University and isSenior Research Scientist at FLSI and Visiting Prof. at TUS. He was faculties at Ashikaga Institute of Technology for 1974-2003, at Waseda University for 2003-2010. He was visiting faculties at University of California at Berkeley for 1999.8-2000.3, Texas A&M University for 2000, Hanyang University for 2010-2012 and National Tsinghua University for 2012-2014.His research field is Evolutionary Computation, Manufacturing Scheduling and Logistics Systems. He published several books including Genetic Algorithms & Engineering Optimization, Wiley and Network Models and Optimization: Multiobjective Genetic Algorithm Approach”, Springer.

Dr X.J. Jing received the B.S. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1998, the M.S. degree and PhD degree in Robotics from Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang, China, in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He achieved the PhD degree in nonlinear systems and signal processing from the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K.Dr Jing currently serves as Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Trans. on Mechatronics, Associate Editor of Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, and also as editorial board members of several other international journals. He was the lead editor of a special issue on Employing nonlinear benefits in engineering in the archive journal MSSP in 2018, which is becoming an important and most active research area and has been pursued by Dr Jing in the past years ever since 2005. Dr Jing is a Senior IEEE member, and actively participate different R&D activities in IEEE community including organizing IEEE conferences and summer camp.

Malek Masmoudi is PhD and HDR in industrial engineering, associate professor and head of the industrial engineering and management Master in Jean-Monnet University. His main research interests are the applications of data science and optimization techniques to various engineering and management fields. He published more than 25 international journal papers in operations research and industrial engineering, and particularly two springer books providing recent studies for healthcare decision making using optimization, simulation, artificial intelligence and data-mining techniques.

Dr Markoulidakis has completed his PhD in the field of Mobile Telecommunications from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He has held various managerial positions in the telecommunications industry including head of R&D in Vodafone Greece and head of Customer Experience in the same company. He has multiple publications and patents in areas like telecommunications, positioning techniques and customer experience analytics, He is the founder of Hyper-Projections, a startup company focusing on innovative industrial applications of data analytics.

Thore Gericke M.Eng. studied Mechanical Engineering at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. He has successfully carried out various projects in the field of data-based optimization of manufacturing processes, among others for leading companies in the tool and machine construction industry and is author and co-author of several publications in the field of manufacturing process analysis and optimization. He is research associate for Manufacturing Technology at the R&D center Kiel University of Applied Sciences GmbH.

Prof. Ing. Juraj Králik, PhD. has completed his PhD from Applied mechanics in University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia and postdoctoral studies in University of Paris VI. His research interests include the nonlinear analysis of safety and reliability of NPP structures in case of extremal climatic, seismic, terroristic and technology accident impact. Currently, he is professor in Faculty of Civil Engineering STU in Bratislava, Authorized Expert in the field of Nuclear Power Plant Safety Control and Civil Engineering.

Dr. Xinming Liisan assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Alberta, Canada. Her research seeks improvements in industrialized construction by evaluating ergonomic risks and investigating corresponding corrective measures to secure the health and safety of workers and enhance workplace productivity.Her areas of focus include physical demand analysis, human body physiological measurement, ergonomic risk assessment based on 3D visualization modelling of operational tasks, and lean manufacturing in industrialized construction. Her research targets improved work performance and workplace design, ensuring a healthy working environment. The outcomes of her research help industry collaborators to reduce workplace injuries and claims, develop robust return-to-work programs, reduce workers’ compensation premiums, and improve productivity.

Dr. Sawhney is a Distinguished Professor and Heath Fellow in Business and Engineering at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is the Executive Director of Center for Advanced Systems Research and Education (CASRE). Dr. Sawhney has developed the Sawhney Model, which uniquely focuses on people-centered operational excellence strategies. Dr. Sawhney has been recognized with various awards such as the Boeing Welliver Fellow, Alcoa Faculty Award, Institute of Industrial Engineers Lean Teaching Award, Industrial and Operations Management Society Outstanding Educator Award, the 2019 University of Tennessee President’s Award as the “Educate” honoree, and the 2020 John L. Aline Capella de Oliveira (Oliveira, A.C.) has completed his PhD from in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering in Aeronautics Institute of Technology, Brazil and postdoctoral studies from National Institute for Space Research and Institute for Advanced Studies from Brazilian Department of Science and Aerospace Technology, Brazil. He received his M.S. for Seoul National University and his Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently the Program Director of Architectural Engineering at Ajou University. His research activities include innovative building technology, project management in construction, project productivity/performance improvement, construction economics and project financing, building information modeling (BIM) applied to construction and safety control in facility management.

Gaurav Gupta is an assistant professor of accountancy at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Dr Gupta’s two broad research interests are performance measurement and fraud examination. His research has appeared in several top accounting journals including Journal of International Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Management Information Systems, and International Journal of Accounting and Information Management.
